Every woman is different, and most women despise the monthly visit from Aunt Flo. For many, it can mean uncomfortable to down right painful cramping, back pains, headaches, and moodiness just to name a few inconvenient symptoms. What if there was a way to put an end to, or at least reduce these symptoms naturally? Read below and learn how to end your period early.

One of the most important things you can do is drink lots of water. By staying well hydrated, you will flush your system, including your period right out of you. If you are like many women, you crave comfort drinks like your favorite latte or soda. Try to stay away from these or limit them as much as possible. Extra sugar won't help your period go away.

Exercise is another best practice. Not only will it help you stay fit, but it will lighten your period as long as you are consistent in light to moderate workouts. Be careful not to overdo it though, especially during your period. Excessive working out can cause amenorrhoea, skipping periods altogether because of intense stress on the body. Left untreated can leave you infertile.

Fruits and vegetables have vitamins and minerals that can lessen your period symptoms, and even end it early. Drinking raspberry tea, eating green beans, or even sucking on a lemon twice a day can end your misery faster than you hoped. Try drinking two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with water, three a day. This old wives remedy is said to slow or stop your period.

Need to stop your period quick, for a short time? Try drinking a packet of gelatin mixed with water. Some women say it stops their period for up to 3 hours. It is pretty convenient if you happen to be getting married while having your monthly cycle.

You can also shorten your period by speeding up the flow. A good way to do this safely is take a heating pad and press it to your abdomen for 15 minutes at a time. This will relax the muscles and allow the blood to flow freely.

Thinning the blood helps to speed up a period, and a few simple ways to do that are drinking wine (alcohol thins the blood), consuming salicylates which naturally block vitamin K which is found in foods such as cayenne pepper, ginger, cinnamon, honey, raisins, and oranges. All of these are excellent sources of nutrition, so consume at will!

Taking ibuprofen can not only cut your flow in half, but it can also stop you period altogether. Do not exceed the daily dosages, however popping one dose 3-4 times per day will lighten your period, and lessen your painful symptoms at the same time. Before taking ibuprofen, talk to your doctor to be sure you won't have an adverse affect or complications with other medications.
Women should not have to dread the menstrual cycle each and every month. Hopefully these tips will help you at least be comfortable and lessen your suffering to the point you forget you even have your period.
